Bhringraj – The king of hair

Bhringraj (Eclipta Alba) has been used as a rasayana for thousands of years in Ayurveda. This herb, also know as “False Daisy” in English, is an annual “creeper” plant that grows to roughly three meters in height. It has white or yellow flowers with lance-shaped leaves. It needs a very moist climate to survive and mainly grows in the marshy areas of India. It is also common to find this herb as a weed in rice/paddy fields. The fresh leaves are used to make a juice or they can be dried/powdered and used for therapeutic purposes.
